Osaka with Kids

Places that work for children

The waterfront at Tempozan packs most of a family day into one spot. The Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, the 112.5 m Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel and the Santa Maria cruise all list Osakako Station, and Universal Studios Japan has its own station, Universal City. In the city, Kids Plaza Osaka sits right outside Ogimachi Station and Ogimachi Park next door has a mountain slide and a climbing wall. Kids Plaza is closed on the second and third Monday of each month. Tennoji Zoo is closed Mondays too. Around Osaka Castle, the Gozabune boat circles the inner moat in about 20 minutes. The Dotonbori Konamon Museum runs a wax takoyaki class on its third floor. In all, 23 places are tagged for kids.
