The park laid out on the 1970 World Expo site, with Taro Okamoto's Tower of the Sun at its centre. The park has a Japanese garden, a natural-culture garden and cycle boats on the Yume no Ike pond.
Insider tip
The tower interior with its Tree of Life is by advance reservation and has its own ticket, a tower-plus-park set ticket is 1,080 yen for adults. The park is closed on Wednesdays except from 1 April to 2 May and in October and November.

Autumn flower fields on the Flower Hill with about 150,000 cosmos and 3,600 kochia plants, the kochia turning red around October. The festa itself is free, but the Nature and Culture Park needs a separate ticket. The 2026 festa runs 3 to 30 October. The 2027 dates haven't been announced yet.
