Where to see sakura in Osaka
In an average year (1991 to 2020) the Japan Meteorological Agency's Osaka tree flowers around 27 March and reaches full bloom around 4 April. Five places are on this map. Kema Sakuranomiya Park has about 4,500 cherry trees and is always open, and Nishinomaru Garden has about 300, mostly Somei Yoshino, and stays open to 20:00 in the blossom season. Nishinomaru is closed on Mondays. The Japan Mint opens its grounds in the spring, and its late-flowering cherries are best around mid-April. Osaka Castle Park and the Main Tower complete the list.
