Osaka Castle Park covers 105.6 hectares around the keep, with moats, stone walls and a plum grove, and it's open at all times. The Osaka Castle Main Tower, rebuilt in 1931, is a museum of the Toyotomi era with an observation deck on the top floor. Last entry is 17:30. The Osaka Museum of History covers nearly 1,400 years and keeps the remains of the Naniwa Palace in its basement. It closes the next day when Tuesday is a holiday.
Nakanoshima and Kitahama has the river, Nakanoshima Park and three museums. Osaka Castle works if the park is your priority, since Osaka Castle Park is open at all times. Both have fewer restaurants than Namba or Umeda, so check the map before you book.

A digital stamp rally across six spots linked to Toyotomi-era Osaka Castle, including the Nishinomaru Garden, the plum grove, Gokuraku Bridge and Toyotomi Ishigaki-kan. Stamps are collected by GPS or QR code, and the first 5,000 people to collect all six get a clear file folder. Entering the keep and the stone wall museum needs a paid ticket (adults ¥1,200).

Two evenings of outdoor Noh and Kyogen on a special stage in Nishinomaru Garden, with Bunzo Otsuki among the performers. Rain moves the show to Otsuki Noh Theatre for holders of rain-substitute tickets. Ticket prices aren't printed in the press release.

The plum grove holds 105 varieties and 1,245 trees. Early varieties open from late December, the main season runs from late January to mid-February, and late ones bloom from late February to mid-March. The park hasn't published 2027 timing yet, so the dates here are to be announced.
