A domed stone library built in 1904 with a donation from the Sumitomo family, with wings added in 1922. The main building and both wings are Important Cultural Properties, and the collection centres on Osaka materials.

About 3,700 plants of 310 varieties bloom in the rose garden on Nakanoshima, a park open at all times. The city gives late April to late May as the spring season. The 2027 dates haven't been announced yet.
