A covered shopping street of about 2.6 km running north from Tenjinbashi, billed as Japan's longest. It has roughly 800 shops, including a tea shop founded in 1868, tofu makers and old diners.

Walking the full length takes about 40 minutes. Shop hours and closing days vary. Ogimachi, Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome and Minami-morimachi stations on the Sakaisuji Line open straight onto it.

Afternoon Rakugo Show at Hanjotei

Daily afternoon programme of Kamigata rakugo with a magic, juggling or storytelling act in between, in Osaka's rakugo hall. The programme changes every week. Advance tickets are ¥3,000, ¥3,300 on the day, ¥2,000 under 30 and ¥1,000 for school children.
