Festival Minato Sumiyoshi Shrine Summer Festival 14 to 15 Jul · Osaka Bay The harbour shrine holds its eve festival on 14 July and the main festival on 15 July, and lists 9:00 to 16:00. It is an off-site branch of Sumiyoshi Taisha.
Festival Himuro Matsuri at Namba Shrine 20 to 21 Jul · Shinsaibashi A summer festival on 20 and 21 July built around ice. Shaved ice is handed out from 18:00, with night stalls, and drum performances start at 19:00.

Festival Sumiyoshi Matsuri Mikoshi Procession 30 Jul to 1 Aug · Sumiyoshi The festival's spirit goes into a mikoshi of about 2 tons with poles around 11 m long. It's carried to the resting place at Shukuin Tonomiya in Sakai from 30 July to 1 August.
