About Roam Osaka
How Roam Osaka is made
Where the facts on Roam Osaka come from and how they're checked before they reach you.
Where the facts come from
Every fact on Roam Osaka comes from an official or own source: the place's, venue's or organiser's own website, the company that runs it, or a public body such as a city office, a park or a museum. Review sites, blogs, aggregators and resale ticket sites are never a source, and each listing links to the page it came from.
Events come from Osaka's organisers and official bodies, found in Japanese as well as English, and gigs from each venue's own schedule. A date that can't be confirmed on the source doesn't go up.
How facts are checked
Prices, opening hours, dates, closures and addresses are checked twice, separately. A daily fact check also re-reads the official pages of the places and music venues on the map, so every entry comes round again within about a month. When a fact can't be confirmed, the field stays empty.
Writing and photos
The guides and descriptions are written with AI tools from those checked facts. The site stores facts only, never anyone else's writing. Place photos are Creative Commons photos of the actual place, credited with their licence.
How the site makes money
Hotel links and hotel maps come from Stay22. If you book through one, Roam Osaka may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Nobody pays to be on the map or in a guide. The privacy and disclosure page has the details.
Daniel's role
Daniel founded the Roam sites. He splits his time between Tokyo and Montreal, and he sets the rules on this page.
